Program + Research Portfolio Available for projects

Good programs are built on good listening.

I'm Diana Muthoni Mboi, a Nairobi-based researcher and program professional working across monitoring & evaluation, qualitative research, and community engagement for youth empowerment initiatives. I sit where the data lives: the FGD room, the intake form, the training report, the indicator tracker.

How I work

I listen first, then help make the findings useful.

Good fieldwork depends on asking clear questions and giving people room to answer in their own words. I work with focus groups, interviews, surveys, and program teams to understand what is happening beyond the spreadsheet.

The result is well-organized information that is easier to discuss, report, and use.

About

Research and program work, together.

Diana Muthoni Mboi is a Nairobi-based program and qualitative research professional working across youth empowerment, community engagement, and monitoring, evaluation, accountability & learning.

She recruits and onboards participants, facilitates trainings, coordinates with community-based organizations, leads focus group discussions and key informant interviews, administers surveys, and prepares program data for reporting.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Diplomacy and International Studies from the University of Nairobi and is currently completing a Master's in Project Monitoring and Evaluation at Kenyatta University.

As a Consultant at Hand in Hand East Africa, she coordinated youth entrepreneurship training and onboarding. For Zana Africa and Education Design Unlimited, she conducted FGDs and KIIs on adolescent health and education with girls, women, healthcare workers, teachers, school leaders, and county education officers in Kiambu and Nairobi. This work required confidentiality, ethical compliance, and steady rapport with participants across age groups.

"The best program data comes from listening first: hearing what a training room actually needs before opening a spreadsheet. That is the standard I hold my work to."
